Miracle on 34th Street will be performed on Thursday, October 27 at 7:30, Friday, October 28 at 4:00 and 7:30 and Saturday, October 29 at 2:00. Tickets are $7.00 or 1 free with an activities pass.          We need students to help with make-up and ushering. Sign up on the drama call-board.

The following students have made the cast of Miracle on 34th Street!                                                                                                                                                              The first rehearsal is Monday, August 29 at 3:40 in room 557. There you will receive the rehearsal schedule, scripts, and we will read through the play. This week there will be whole cast, after school rehearsals on Tuesday and Wednesday and on Thursday (5:15 start) for certain parts. For those who did not make this show, please continue to be involved with theatre both on and off the stage. Freshman and Sophomore students, try-out for Zeitgeist after school Monday, Aug. 29.

Fall Play Auditions

The fall play is Miracle on 34th Street. There are 25-30 roles! Only 3 must be male and two must be female as well as one female child. The rest could be played by either male or female characters. Auditions will be on Tuesday, Aug. 23 at 4:15 ( after the drama club meeting) or Wed. Aug. 24 at 3:30 in the auditorium. Call backs will be on Thursday, Aug. 25 and Friday, Aug. 26. The four performances are October 27-29. The scripts are in, so email Mrs. Barber (bbarber@glenbrook225.org) if you would like to read a copy before the audition. Back to school

School begins August 22. The first Drama Club Meeting will be August 23. The Freshman/Sophomore play is Oct. 13-14. The Fall Play is Oct. 27-29. Mrs. Barber is leaning towards Miracle on 34th Street for the Fall Play.There are 20 roles and several extras. The play requires 3 men, 2 women, 1 girl, and 14 roles for either men or women. Let's get ready for an amazing year of theatre!!!

The Drama Banquet is Friday, May 6, at 6pm on the auditorium stage.  Voting for the awards will take place Tuesday, May 3, after school.  Everyone with any connection to a show is invited to vote as well to attend the banquet.  Buy your ticket to the banquet in the bookstore for $15.00.

SHE KILLS MONSTERS opens April 21



The spring play, She Kills Monsters by Qui Nguyen, will be performed Thursday, April 21 at 4:00 and 7:30. It also runs on Saturday, April 23 at 2:00. Tickets are $8.00 or free with a student activity pass at the door.  
Synopsis: Average Agnes is finally leaving her childhood home following the death of her sister Tilly. However when going through tilly’s belongings she stumbles upon her Dungeons & Dragons notebook. Agnes embarks on an action-packed adventure to discover more about her geeky sibling than she previously cared to know. A heartwarming comedy about loss, bullies, and dragons! Warning: Lots of stage violence with swords, axes and spears. If you like Games of Thrones, Lord of the Rings and Xena, you will love this show!
