Zeitgeist, the freshman/sophomore fall 2014 play will be performed on Tuesday, October 14 at 4:30 p.m. & 7:30 p.m. and on Wednesday, October 15 at 4:30 p.m. in the Lyceum. Cost is $3.00 or free with activity pass.  Click here for poster.

Fall Play poster-Harvey

This fall, GBS Theatre will present Harvey, a comedy about a man, Elwood P. Dowd, who believes his best friend is a six-foot tall rabbit. 

When his sister tries to put him in a sanitarium, but is mistakenly put in instead, hilarity ensues. Audience members will enjoy the great characters, funny lines and charming chemistry between Elwood and Harvey.

The comedy runs Wednesday, October 22, through Saturday, October 25, and includes 21 students starring in the cast. 

Big week for Drama Club

Get ready!  This week we have a drama club meeting on Tuesday (the 16th), our field trip to see Comedy Sportz is this Friday night (buy your tickets before they are gone in the bookstore), and Sunday morning is the run/walk benefit for Special Gifts theatre.  Sign up online for the walk if you have not yet, and continue getting sponsors!  Direct people to the link where they can donate:  Donate to Special Gifts Theatre

It's time to sign up for Theatre Fest field trip!  This year it is at the University of Illinois.  Check out the following links for requirements and trip info, as well as the Theatre Fest website.  All money and forms are due by OCT. 10 if you plan on attending the theatre fest field trip with us.

Charity 5k Run for Special Gifts Theatre

Join Drama Club on Sunday, Sept. 21, to help the Special Gifts Theatre in Wilmette. 

Members of the Drama Club will be either walking or running in a 5K to raise money for Special Gifts Theatre, a program that provides creative drama for students with special needs. Several of our own GBS students are involved in the program! The race is called "Walk to Neverland" because this year's main production in March will be Peter Pan. If you would like to sponsor any member of the drama club who will be participating for any amount, you may do this by clicking the following link.  You may also register to walk or run yourself!  Come join us for a healthy, fun time and a good cause!
